The Jaguar F-Type is to get a new 3.0 litre V6 Supercharged engine and Jaguar are trailing it in a new video ahead of launch. We finally learnt in April that the C-X16 Concept would come to life as the Jaguar F-Type and just a few days later that the F-Type would be getting a new V6 supercharged 3.0 litre engine (amongst others). But with the launch of the Jaguar F-Type Roadster still almost a year away (spring 2013), Jaguar are keeping up the marketing impetus with a trailer video of the new supercharged lump destined for the E-Type’s spiritual successor.

Mark Webber may be about to end his F1 career, but that hasn’t stopped him competing. And compete he has at the Yas Marina Track by beating team mate Sebastian Vettel in to second place and claiming pole position at the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix. Behind the two Red Bulls is the Mercedes of Nico Rosberg followed by Lewis Hamilton (who spun on his final qualifying lap) with Kimmi Raikkonen – who is far from a happy bunny – starting tomorrow’s 2013 Abu Dhabi Grand Prix in fifth place.
The Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders has revealed that new car sales grew again in the UK in November – up by 11.3 per cent. At some point, new car sales in the UK must surely start to ease as the economic pressure bite, but so far in 2012 we’ve had an inexorable rise in numbers. The latest figures for November show new car sales (well, to be precise, new car registrations – which include Pre-Reg cars) up by an impressive 11.3 per cent, following on from a rise of 12.1 per cent in October, with private buyers driving sales rather than fleet.
